Managing Time Zones for Bookings
Perfect for virtual shows, when you may both need to be shown different times
When working on virtual events with clients in different locations, it’s essential to ensure your event times are clear and consistent. Giggio allows you to handle time zones so that your clients see the correct event times, no matter where they are.
Why Time Zones Matter
- Clients may be in a different time zone from you.
- Your start time needs to be correct for both your time zone, and your client’s
- When sending online confirmations or contracts, times must be accurate for the client’s location.
- Incorrect time settings can lead to missed events or confusion.
How Giggio Handles Time Zones
- Giggio uses the time zone set in your account as the default, and will add to your diary at the time you enter
- When a booking is created, the time is stored based on your location, but you can shift the timezone for the client’s contract.
Tips for Managing Time Zones
- Set your own time zone correctly in your Giggio account settings.
- If you have clients in other regions (e.g., New York, Amsterdam), you can use their time zone on the contract.
- Clearly state the time zone in contract templates or email confirmations.
- You can add a note like:
“Please note: Event time is shown in your local time zone“
Summary
To avoid confusion, always ensure that your event times in Giggio reflect the correct time zone for your client. Clear communication and checking time display settings can prevent mistakes.
